Perform full range of litigation paralegal tasks from case inception through discovery process, trial, post-trial proceedings and case closure. Proactively initiate case progress, when appropriate.

Manage large-scale discovery process, including preparing for deposition, propounding and responding to written discovery and preparing for expert discovery.

Assist with law and motion practice, including assembling motion papers and exhibits, coordinating filings of pleadings and briefs and ensuring proper service.

Perform analytical tasks, including preparing witness interview memoranda, reviewing and summarizing documents and deposition and court transcripts

Perform and oversee both simple and complex cite checking and proof reading of briefs and other legal documents.

Assist in trial preparation; draft jury instructions for attorneys' review; create organize and maintain exhibit notebooks and trial notebooks
TECHNOLIGICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

Travel and set up war-rooms and court audio-visual setups; attend trials or other legal proceedings to provide presentation or other technical support services

Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and the legal team to create custom multi-media presentations for use at trial including charts, graphics, illustrations (PowerPoint, animation, 3D modeling), and videos. Explain complex concepts using multimedia presentations (graphics).

Coordinate the placement and set up of technology in the courtroom including projectors, monitors, screens and laptops, manage digital evidence and troubleshoot technology issues. Advance experience in utilizing technology in the courtroom.

Assist with trial presentation equipment, and software training and support and have ability to devise solutions in high-pressure situations.

Proficient in PowerPoint including Animation 3 graphic design, Video editing, Audio/visual systems setup. Experience in networking-setting up equipment, computers, laptops, etc. Ability to create and maintain litigation databases; develop data quality control, query and/or report design related to document images. Work with IT personnel on recommendations

Interacting professionally with attorneys, other Firm personnel, clients, opposing parties, third parties and witnesses is a key to a successful trial. You need someone to ascertain calendaring requirements for each matter and ensure proper maintenance of any required case calendars. We can assist with trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks, identifying and organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, maintaining trial calendars and communicating effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staff.
We are flexible, composed and have the ability to prioritize and handle many urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy; the ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances; and always sensitive to ethical and confidentiality requirements. We can provide training as needed.
